Get to know your grains! BUCKWHEAT

Welcome to buckwheat.  I love everything about these groats.  Their shape, texture, and nutritional benefits are outstanding.  Buckwheat helps prevent heart disease due to being loaded with flavonoids.  It also contains almost 86 milligrams of magnesium in a one-cup serving.

I personally like to add buckwheat to my oatmeal but it's also great in yogurt, soup, or on top of salads.  It can also be ground and mixed with flour to make muffins and breads.  Instead of that boring rice dish you always make, try buckwheat instead.
